CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT
This Edition of the Customer Spotlight is on Louis
and Lila Falconer. We have just completed their superstructure
in SouthEast Texas.
Louis and Lila are pictured on the left along with
Adam Davis. Adam was helping out his dad while on Summer break
from school.
Their new 1,500 square foot home has two bedrooms
and two baths, and features 4 Sola-Tube Skylights. They decided
to have Davis Caves build their home after visiting EarthFest
98. To acquire enough earth to cover their home, they have excavated
a two acre lake, situated in front of their home to provide a
scenic view. The home will also feature a covered terrace area
in front of their home, to provide cool shade. This terrace area
will connect to Louis's shop, just to the South of the home.
Everything you heard about the Texas heat wave of
1998 is true. Our building crew really enjoyed the area, the
Texas Barbecue, the friendly people, but they were ready to come
back to the comparatively "cool" MidWest!
Louis and Lila have been married 55 years, they have
two children, two grandchildren, two Great Grandchildren, with
a 3rd on the way! Born in Louisiana, they have lived in Texas
for 55 years.
To the right you can see Louis and Lila standing
on the roof of their new home while still under construction.
Security from Tornadoes and storms, lack of maintenance,
plus savings on their utility bills (mostly air conditioning)
were their reasons for choosing an Earth Sheltered Home.
We are grateful for the Falconer's hospitality, and
thoroughly enjoyed building their home. Congratulations and Welcome
